Pos Malaysia has advised Malaysians to post their Hari Raya cards not later than August 2 to ensure their cards are delivered in time before the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

Pos Malaysia Berhad, in a statement today, said it would continue to offer the 50 sen flat rate for postage of Hari Raya greeting cards to anywhere within Malaysia so that more Malaysians could send greeting cards to friends and family, at a cheaper rate than normal postage.

"The promotional rate of 50 sen will be offered from July 8 until August 16. The rate is applicable for all sizes of Hari Raya greeting cards, weighing not more that 50 grams," the statement added.

The statement said, the normal postage before this promotion for the standard mail below 20 gram is 60 sen and 70 sen for mail below 50 gram.

Pos Malaysia Berhad Chief Executive Officer Shukrie Mohd Salleh in the same statement said, with the changing trends in communication using the social media, mobile and electronic alternatives, Pos Malaysia understands that Malaysians are choosing these alternatives.

"However, many Malaysians still value the personal touch of sending a physical greeting card to wish their friends and loved ones. Therefore, we would like to encourage Malaysians to send Hari Raya cards to their family and friends by offering the one flat postage rate of 50 sen," the statement added.
