Police have detained ten people to facilitate investigation of a 14-year-old girl who was gang-raped by 38 men last Tuesday.

According to a report by Berita Harian, among the suspects detained included another teenager who was also allegedly raped.

Quoting the Kota Bharu district police chief ACP Azham Othman, the report said four suspects were arrested on Tuesday while six others were arrested early Wednesday morning near Ketereh.

The form two student was reportedly raped in an empty house in Ketereh.

The incident happened when her friend had asked her to pick her up from Ketereh and the victim contacted her male friend to take her there.

After picking up the victim’s friend in Ketereh, their male friend had brought both girls to an empty house in Ketereh to rest.

They were however stopped by a man before they could leave the house.

After that, more than 30 men entered the house, took the girls into a room and took turns raping them.

The victim, who fainted after being raped, woke up the next day and felt intense pain on her private parts.

Her father then lodged a police report on the incident.
