The Street Fashion collection and Aidijuma Tudung Bawal (head scarves) collection designed by Malaysian celebrities - Sazzy Falak and Norjuma Habib Mohamed - hit the international runway for the first time at the PLITZS New York City Fashion Week here on Sunday.

During the show, which took place at the Park central Hotel, Sazzy, or her real name Sazlini Shamsul Falak, 32, showcased 25 of her street fashion designs in the early morning session, while Norjuma paraded her scarves in the evening session.

Speaking to Bernama before the show, Sazzy said several postponements made by the organiser prior to her show, did not dampen her spirit to see her designs hit the international runway.

"I managed to create 25 special designs meant for the American market after receiving the invitation from the organiser a few months ago.

"Among the designs are Laila, Sanya, Amina, Mariani, Atilia and Aishah," said the actress, who was accompanied by her husband Nazril Idrus.

Sazzy said she started venturing in the fashion designing industry just over a year ago and that the idea came during her confinement after the birth of her twin daughters.

She also expressed hope that her participation in the New York Fashion Week would open more doors for her to take part in international fashion shows, including the London Fashion Week.

Sazzy is also expected to showcase her designs in an event organised by famous fashion promoter at a club in Times Square tomorrow.
