This photo shows a group of Year One pupils from SK Nanga Jagau in Kanowit, a rural area in Sarawak, holding up drawings they made in class on Thursday, July 24. Although the school is located very far from the city (approximately six hours via longboat), the students were adamant in showing their support for the victims of the MH17 tragedy upon hearing the sorrowful news.
This photo was submitted to Astro AWANI by one of the pupils’ teacher, Fardzizul Ismail via Facebook. “Sorry if their drawings aren’t good, but these children really mean it (their message),” he wrote.
