The resignation of two Johor UMNO Youth leaders following the Cabinet reshuffle last week will not affect the wing.

UMNO Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin said their decision to quit their posts should be respected.

The duo were Tenggara division UMNO Youth committee members Asrul Esreen Mohd Salleh and Saiful Zakry Ripin.

Tebrau division Puteri UMNO chief Suriyani Subar also resigned.

Khairy warned UMNO Youth branches not to urge the Prime Minister to explain the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) issue until the special task force has completed the investigation.

"We have to abide by the decision of the Prime Minister because it is his prerogative to appoint the Cabinet members," he said after launching the Malaysian Ski and Snowboard Team here, today.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was dropped as Deputy Prime Minister in a Cabinet reshuffle by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was named the new Deputy Prime Minister.
