The remains of Malaysian Ambassador to Switzerland, Datuk Mohd Zulkephli Mohd Noor, who died in Berne, Switzerland, last Wednesday is scheduled to arrive at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 5.25pm today.

Wisma Putra, in a statement on Saturday, said Mohd Zulkephli's remains would be flown back on a Lufthansa Airlines Flight LH782.

It will arrive at the Bunga Raya Complex, KLIA, and would then be taken to the Sultan Abdul Samad Mosque, KLIA, for prayer.

The body will then be taken to Muar, Johor, for burial at Tanah Perkuburan Kota, Batu 1 1/4, Jalan Bakri.

Mohd Zulkephli, who is survived by wife, Datin Anna Amalina Imam Baweh and five children, was the ambassador to Turkmenistan prior to his appointment as ambassador to Switzerland.

He was also the ambassador to Libya from 2009 to 2011 and was directly involved in the evacuation of Malaysians from Libya.

Mohd Zulkephli, who joined the Malaysian civil service as Administrative and Diplomatic Officer in 1984, had also served at several Malaysian Missions abroad, such as the Consulate General of Malaysia in Los Angeles, United States, and the Permanent Mission of Malaysia to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.
