Public service provider, Prasarana Malaysia Bhd, is exploring business opportunities in Abu Dhabi, Mumbai and Brunei.

Group President and Chief Executive Officer Datuk Seri Azmi Abdul Aziz said Prasarana was ready to offer its rail and bus services expertise.

"We have initiated negotiations in these countries to explore business opportunities," he told reporters after a courtesy call by a delegation of editors from Saudi Arabia led by Saudi News Agency President Abdullah F Al Hussain.

The editors are part of the 600 strong entourage who are accompanying Saudi Arabia Ruler King Salman Abdulaziz Al-Saud who arrived in Malaysia today for a four-day state visit.

The media editors took a ride on the Mass Rapid Transit and the Light Rail Transit Kelana Jaya line and later visited the Prasarana Depo in Subang.

Besides the three nations, Prasarana is also expected to forge business ties with counterparts from Saudi Arabia in setting up public rail services.

Currently, Prasarana is providing services to the Al Mashaaer Al Mugaddassah Metro Southern Line in Saudi Arabia which operates seven days during winter. - BERNAMA
