The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) on Wednesday announced the transfers of 10 senior officers effective March 2.

Bukit Aman corporate communications head, ACP Datin Asmawati Ahmad said the changes, among others, involve the transfer of Penang police chief Datuk Seri Abd Rahim Hanafi to Perak as the state police chief to replace Datuk Osman Salleh who will be going on compulsory retirement on Feb 13.

Malacca police chief, Datuk Wira Chuah Ghee Lai will take up the post of deputy director in the Crime Prevention and Community Policing Department (JPJKK) at Bukit Aman.

Bukit Aman PDRM secretary Datuk Ramli Din will replace Chuah as Malacca police chief.

"SAC (Senior Assistant Commissioner) Datuk Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd who was earlier holding the post of head of International Relations, IGP secretariat in Bukit Aman will replace Ramli," she said in a statement yesterday.

According to Asmawati, PDRM College Crisis and Disaster Studies Centre head Datuk Abd Aziz Ahmad would be transferred to the Human Resource Division of Bukit Aman Management Department as principal assistant director (Planning and Management of Strategic Policy) to replace Datuk Hasanuddin Hassan who takes over as PDRM College Crisis and Disaster Studies Centre head.

Asmawati said head of Enforcement Unit, Public Money Section II, Remuneration Policy, Public Money and Management Services Division, Ministry of Finance, ACP Zulkifli Che Wail would be transferred to Malacca police contingent headquarters as Crime Prevention and Community Policing Department head while his position would be taken over by ACP Zulkarnain Abd Rahman, now Prime Minister's Department (JPM) Protection Division operations director.

National Operations Management Centre for Intelligence and Coordination of National Security Council (MKN), JPM, deputy director ACP Mohd Shaharudin Baharom will take over the post of Bukit Aman Special Branch Administration Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).

Meanwhile, SAC Abdul Manaf Othman remains as SAC of Bukit Aman Marine Police Headquarters Administration.
