Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) tonight released a list of nine parliamentary and 19 state seats that the party's candidates will be contesting in Perak during the 13th General Election on May 5.

The list, which was announced by its de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at a ceramah in Manjoi, here, saw 80 percent new faces, comprising mostly professionals.

The parliamentary seats which would be contested are Bagan Serai, Padang Rengas, Tambun, Gopeng, Tapah, Pasir Salak, Lumut, Bagan Datoh and Tanjung Malim.

The 19 state seats are Pengkalan Hulu, Temenggor, Kenering, Kota Tampan, Batu Kurau, Kuala Kurau, Alor Pongsu, Kuala Sepetang, Ulu Kinta, Bukit Chandan, Bota, Tualang Sekah, Simpang Pulai, Teja, Chenderiang, Sungai Manik, Pangkor, Hutan Melintang and Behrang.

Anwar said, however, the candidate for the Manong state seat was still being discussed and decided by the Pakatan Rakyat Leadership Council soon.
