The Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) confirmed that pig DNA (porcine) was found in two Cadbury Dairy Milk products.

MOH investigations on three chocolate samples by the chocolate maker for porcine found that two samples contained the pig DNA:

1) Cadbury Dairy Milk Hazelnut with the batch number 200813M01H I2 and expiry date November 13, 2014; and

2) Cadbury Dairy Milk Roast Almond with the batch number 221013N01R I1 and expiry date January 15, 2015.

MOH found out about the issue of pig DNA (porcine) in Cadbury milk chocolates which spread widely on social media.

Cadbury Confectionery Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. assured that they will recall the products affected from the market immediately.

The Food Act 1983 and Food Regulations 1985 was put in place to protect the public from health hazards, fraudulent preparations, the sale and distribution of food and related matters.

MOH advised the public to read the batch number on the label before buying the products.
