Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah today received a courtesy call from four First Ladies, who are currently in the country in conjunction with the International Seminar on Autism 2014.

They were the wife of Kyrgyz Republic President, Dr Raisa Atambaeva and Albananian First Lady, Odeta Nishani.

Also making the courtesy call were wife of Sri Lanka Republic President, Shiranti Wickramasinghe Rajapaksa and First Lady of Morocco, Nabila Benkirane.

Prime Minister's wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor was also present to accompany all the women leaders during the meeting that lasted for about 30 minutes in the Bilik Mahkota, Istana Negara here.

The two-day International Seminar on Autism 2014 being held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) was officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak yesterday.

Themed 'Autisme Is Not A Tragedy, Ignorance Is', the seminar emphasised on the importance of providing high quality intervention programme to autistic children.

The inaugural seminar is aimed at enhancing community awareness and sharing of views in the education of autistic children nationwide.

It is organised by the Program Permata in collaboration with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and non-governmental organisation Autisme Speaks as a platform to implement autistic children programmes known as Permata Kurnia Programme, which is expected to start in May next year.

All the guests present also gave their views and shared their experience in the field of autism of their respective countries.
