Pertubuhan Pribumi Perkasa Malaysia (Perkasa) has urged the top leaders of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) to clearly explain the direction they're heading with their new party, especially in their struggle for the Bumiputera agenda.

Perkasa president, Datuk Ibrahim Ali said Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's willingness to cooperate with PKR's Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the DAP has raised a multitude of questions.

"Many want to know what exactly is PPBM and if their agenda is truly to fight for the Malays and Islam.

"Or, are they going to be part of Pakatan Harapan? If they're going to be part of Pakatan Harapan, it means they are going to be the same as the DAP," Ibrahim told Astro AWANI when contacted today.

He also called the newly-registered PPBM to state their stand if they were going to be a replacement for PAS in Pakatan Harapan.

Ibrahim said all these needed to be clarified to the rakyat because before this, PAS had left Pakatan Harapan due to a crisis with the DAP.

"If PPBM is with the DAP, this will be a big question mark for the Malays," he added.

Previously, Ibrahim had said that any Perkasa member could join and support Dr Mahathir's new party if they want, as the NGO did not restrict its members to join any political party.

Earlier today, Dr Mahathir, who is PPBM protem chairman, had lashed out at his critics who had spoken against his meeting with Anwar at the courts last Monday.

"If I can cooperate with Lim Kit Siang (DAP Parliamentary Leader), why can't I do the same with Anwar?" he had asked.
