The people need to support the government to maintain the current peace and stability enjoyed by the country, says Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.
He said the people must continue to support the government as the peace and security enjoyed by Malaysians was due to its governance.
"The government has plans to further ensure the nation's prosperity and stability.
"Therefore, the people should work together to support all efforts taken by the government to develop the country in a peaceful atmosphere without any discord," he added.
Salleh said this when officiating at the closing ceremony of courses for 'tudung' (scarves) tailoring, foodstall, hairstyling, computer maintenance and family welfare workshop organised by the Sabah Community Development Department (Kemas) here, Saturday.
Salleh said the government constantly provided aid to the people, comprising various skills courses and business opportunities.
"Not only Kemas, the ministry has also provided various business opportunities through e-Rezeki and e-Usahawan and all these opportunities can only continue to be implemented if the current government remains in power," he noted.
In the meantime, Sabah Kemas director Shahrulnizam Jantan said he had allocated RM1.5 million to implement various courses throughout the year to enable participants to obtain certificates of proficiency in specific areas.
"These courses can certainly improve participant skills and help improve their economic status," he said.
