Bukit Gelugor independent candidate, Mohamed Nabi Bux Mohd Nabi Abdul Sathar is not worried if he is to be stripped of his PAS membership.

Speaking at a press conference during his sessions with the residents of Taman Tun Sardon here, today, he said if PAS acted this way, it is not impossible for its members to defect and support other parties.

“When I was just a normal member they needed my service, but when I decided to contest, I was not supported by three other PAS members.

“Two PAS members from Pulau Pinang, and one from Kedah, snapped at me...they accused me of not being a true PAS member,” he said as he announced that he has already submitted hiscertificate as evidence of his membership.

He said this when he was asked to comment on his outspoken criticism against PAS leadership.

Last week, PAS secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali said Mohamed Nabi Bux is not a PAS member and has never been one.

He added that Nabi Bux’s membership was never found in their records.

When asked about the membership certificate belonging to Nabi Bux and 58 Gombak PAS members, Mustafa said: “That is all wrong”.

The validity of Nabi Bux’s membership in PAS started when he decided to contest for Bukit Gelugor Parliamentary seat and intends to implement hudud in Pulau Pinang by 2020.

However, he continued to insist that he is a PAS member for the Gombak constituency and confirmed his membership certificate was not fake.
