The individual identified as the political blogger Papa Gomo has denied PKR strategy director Rafizi Ramli’s claims upon him.

When contacted by Astro Awani, Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris refuted claims by Rafizi that he was a phantom voter with two addresses.

“How can I be a phantom voter because I have never voted? The 12th General Elections did not awaken my senses to vote.

“Right now I am a registered voter under Wangsa Maju parliament and have not registered anywhere else.

“I am shocked to see Rafizi’s claim because I will be voting for the first time in the upcoming election,” he said.

He added that if he was a phantom voter, then the victory of Zuraidah Kamaruddin at Ampang and Azmin Ali at Bukit Antarabangsa in 2008 were invalid too.

Wan Muhammad Azri also said he was not Papa Gomo as claimed by Rafizi.

Earlier Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) had returned punches to Papagomo, as it claims that the blogger was an ex-cop and is a phantom voter.

The claims by PKR came one day after the blogger, who is believe to be known as Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris, posted a video on opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim having a chat with another male.

“PKR has started an investigation to identify an individual that is handling the Papagomo website.

“The investigation show that individual by the name Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris is a former traffic police (rank coperal) who had been sentenced to jail for threatening someone suspected to be a drug addict to get bribes,” said Rafizi Ramli, PKR strategy director, in a statement today.

He also revealed that Wan Muhammad Azri is still listed as a postal voter in Ampang Police Headquaters, even though he is no longer serving as a police.

“We then also checked Papagomo's status as a normal voter in the same system. As we thought, Papagomo is also listed as a normal voters using identification number 830121-03-5019. Using the identification number, Papagomo is listed as voter in Wangsa Maju Parliament,” he added.

Because of the different date of birth used in Election Commission’s (EC) system, PKR then check the address that Papagomo had used in official document.

“I confirm that we have the documents that prove Papagomo really using two different addresses in line with official documents.

“This finding show that phantom voters do exist when Papagomo is allowed to vote twice,” said Rafizi.
