Special needs teenager Muhammad Firdaus Dullah, 16, who was found in a state of utter neglect in Nilai last year, died today following fits attack.

According to the Berita Harian, the teenager died this afternoon.

Muhammad Firdaus was found in a state of severe neglect by the Immigration Department at Semarak Flat, Taman Semarak Fasa 2, Nilai on June 21.

He was later brought to the Taman Sinar Harapan Tunku Ampuan Najihah, after he was released from the children’s ward of Hospital Tuanku Jaafar.

On Nov 17, his mother Lolanopita Sadi, was sentenced to four months' jail and fined RM10,000 by the Sessions Court after she pleaded guilty to two charges of neglecting the boy.

The case drew public condemnation and outrage, with people calling the mother inhumane and for harsh action to be taken against her.
