NAZA World, which is setting up its NAZA Bikes 3S showroom in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, hopes to win an over 10 per cent market share in the country or 30,000 units, within the next three years.

NAZA Group of Companies joint group executive chairman Datuk Wira SM Faisal SM Nasimuddin said the group plans to set up its own Completely Knocked Down (CKD) plant within the same period, to achieve the sales target.

"NAZA Bikes began planning its venture into Cambodia two years ago.

"We chose Cambodia as the starting point based on extensive research of the country's market, culture, and opportunities it presents for our business sustainability and future expansion," he told a media briefing on the company's expansion plan here today.

SM Faisal said the group had invested RM1.5 million to develop the 7,000 sq ft showroom, with 100 per cent ownership by NAZA World.

The showroom in Phnom Penh is expected to be opened in the first week of next month.

It will offer the company's popular NZ 125R, NAZA Blade 250, and NAZA Blade 650 motorcycle models.

He said the group was looking at appointing between 20 to 30 dealers next year.

With Cambodia being the benchmark, NAZA Bikes plans to further extend its market in Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar and Laos over the next two years.

NAZA Bikes is a subsidiary of NAZA World.
