UMNO Supreme Council member, Datuk Ab Aziz Kaprawi said Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin may face disciplinary action by the party following a viral video depicting him talking about allegations that RM2.6 billion was transferred into the Prime Minister’s personal account.

“There is a possibility as the video which went viral clearly shows Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin going against what he said to continue helping the Prime Minister,” said Ab Aziz during a press conference held soon after officiating the Lembah Pantai UMNO division delegates meeting in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.

He was also disappointed as the information which has yet to be validated was also revealed to the Opposition.

“He revealed the unvalidated information to the Opposition. This took place at his residence. It was as if it had been planned, only that it took place outside his residence,” said Ab Aziz.

Asked if Muhyiddin’s dismissal will affect the support on UMNO members towards the leadership, Ab Aziz said, “The leaders need to clarify. As UMNO members we need to obey the leadership. That is the principle. He went against the party and Cabinet’s discipline.

“When Tan Sri Muhyiddin said that he did not agree with the 1MDB issues, I do not understand. All government machineries are helping the Prime Minister. Why isn’t he helping?

He said 154 UMNO division leaders had earlier supported the Cabinet reshuffling and Tan Sri Muhyiddin’s dismissal as the Deputy Prime Minister.

“154 out of the 196 division leaders supported for Tan Sri Muhyiddin to be dropped.

“154 division leaders gave mandate to the Prime Minister to reshuffle. This is the PM’s right. No one can question,” he added.
