The Malaysian Council of Former Elected Representatives (Mubarak) is setting up a 'think tank' to assist Barisan Nasional (BN) in the coming 14th general election (GE14).

Its president, Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman, said the council would also submit to the government the outcome of its study and survey on the people's support for BN to assist the coalition in its preparation for the general election.

He said the challenge facing the BN in the next general election would be in getting the support from new voters.

"There will be a 40 to 50 per cent increase of new voters in GE14 who are exposed to various information, some of them many not be true," he told Bernama here today.

Earlier, Abdul Aziz presented contributions from the Tan Sri Muhyiddin Charity Golf Foundation to former Bandau Member of Parliament Datuk Gaffar Ariff @ George Abah, 75, and former Kunak Assemblyman Unding Lana, 72.
