Human Resources Deputy Minister Datuk Ismail Abd. Muttalib said his ministry need to receive final feedback before the RM35 work voucher programme can be carried out.

When contacted by Astro AWANI, Ismail said that they are currently discussing the full details of the programme, especially the initial model which will be carried out in April.

However, Ismail declined to comment further as the programme is still in its early stages.

Through this programme, any individual who earns less than RM3,000 and lives in a qualified city will be eleigible to receive the RM35 voucher daily.

Meanwhile, Sinar Harian reported that the progarmme is also to be targetted at unemployed individuals, ex-convicts and reformed drug addicts as well as the orang Asli and the disabled.
