KUALA LUMPUR: Art is not limited to music, batik or the stage. Painting can also be a a form of limitless artistic expression for an artist. Painting allows any imagination to be translated on to a canvas for the consumption of an audience.

It doesn't come easy as a wealth of experience and adventure is needed to create art. And through all his experience traveling via flying, visual artist Masnoor Ramli is able to interpret what is in his mind on to canvas as paintings.

Inspiration and experience

Masnoor, who was inspired by his own travels in Europe two years ago, tries to create art that will raise questions.

"There are many aspects of flight that can be interpreted through my previous private jet adventures. It's interesting. There is so much we don't know about flying," he said.

March 8 Tragedy

Masnoor has been involved in art for three decades and he has always strive to produce quality work. For him, art has the ability to restore confidence. He is sympathetic with the tragedy of MH370, but he is hopeful that society will regain a positive perspective of flying again. Hopefully, his art will contribute to this.

"We artists would also like to contribute in a way that suits our soul and ability," he said.
