The disappearance of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) MH370 flight is viewed as a significant incident which has united the people of various races, nationwide.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Seri Joseph Kurup said, this is evident in the various religious events and prayers which was held in hopes of a good end to the incident.

"It’s a proof of achievement and a sign of strong multi-racial harmony.

"It is heart-warming to see the people praying for the return of the passengers and crew, mainly the two babies in the aircraft regardless of religion, nationality and skin color,'' he said during the Dialogue for Peace and Harmony Islam - Wisma Buddhist Culture SGM, here on Sunday.

The dialogue was represented by the Centre for Dialogue of Civilisations Research Fellow, University of Malaya, Dr. Mohammad Mohammad Ismail Ramzy Ismath who spoke from the Islamic perspective while the vice president of Soka Gakkai Malaysia, Professor Datuk Dr. Christopher Boey spoke from the Buddhist perspective.

The dialogue was held in conjunction with the Lotus Sutra Exhibition organized by Soka Gakkai Malaysia.

Joseph added that, the unity among communities of different races prove that the country is an example of how people of different races, cultures and religions can live together.
