Twenty-eight of the 43 Malaysian victims of the Malaysia Airlines (MAS) Flight MH17 tragedy have been identified up to today, said Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.

He said 15 of them were passengers and 13, crew. Fourteen of the 28 were Muslims and the other 14, non-Muslims, he told reporters after a briefing for senior editors of the media on the preparations for the ceremony honouring the victims of the tragedy, at the Defence Ministry here.

"I can confirm that on Friday, the remains of 15 (Malaysians) and one (Dutch national) will be brought home (to Malaysia). Most probably, more remains may be brought back, and this will be confirmed tomorrow," he said.
