Three remaining victims of the ill-fated Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH17 have been identified.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said, the remains of the three Malaysians also includes that of his step-grandmother, Puan Sri Siti Amirah Kusuma.

Siti Amirah, 83, was also the step-grandmother of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Hishammuddin's cousin.

"I was told yesterday. All bodies have now been identified. However, the date for the return of the remaining bodies will be announced later.

"Discussions will be made by Minister of Transport Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai for subsequent procedures.

“Most importantly, every one has been identified and (the news) is certainly a relief to the country," he said during a press conference after the closing ceremony of the Selangor Umno Convention at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), here, today.

MH17 aircraft, carrying 283 passengers and 15 crew members, crashed in eastern Ukraine on July 17 after it was believed to have been shot down during its flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.

Meanwhile, Hishammuddin said, he is relieved but at the same time saddened to learn of the news.

"I feel satisfied. Now, hopefully, whoever is responsible will be brought to justice," he said.
