Malaysia Airlines (MAS) is calling for all Malaysians and people around the world to continue praying for the crew and passengers on board flight MH370 which went missing on its route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing early Saturday morning.

It has been more than 24 hours since any news was heard from MH370 at 1.30am. The search and rescue team are yet to determine the whereabouts of the Boeing 777-200 aircraft.

In a statement by MAS on Sunday, an international search and rescue mission from Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam has been mobilized this morning.

"At this stage, they have failed to find evidence of any wreckage. The sea mission will continue overnight while the air mission will recommence at daylight," the statement said.

Malaysia Airlines also informed that they will dispatch all information as and when it is received and continued to state that situation in Beijing was being closely monitored.

"As many families of passengers are in China, we have deployed our 'Go Team' to Beijing with a team of caregivers and volunteers to assist the family members of the passengers," MAS told.

Meanwhile, the focus has also directed to the possibility of a terrorist act which may be responsible for the disappearance of plane.

It follows the report of at least two people, an Italian and an Austrian national, who was not on board the fateful flight; an Italian and Austrian citizen, as they reported of their passports being stolen.

Malaysia Airlines Chief Executive Officer, Ahmad Jauhari Yahya, however, urged the public to refrain from making any speculations.

MAS has also advised immediate family members of passengers to gather at Kuala Lumpur, where travel arrangements and expenses will be borne by them.

"Once, the whereabouts of the aircraft is determined, Malaysia Airlines will fly members of the family to the location," stated MAS.

It added that their sole priority now is to provide all assistance to the families of the passengers and their staff.

Mas is also working closely with the concerned authorities in the search and rescue operation.
