Club side Felda United FC sent star-studded side Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) packing out of the Malaysia Cup when they defeated the AFC Cup champions on a 3-2 aggregate at the conclusion of the quarter-finals last night.

In the second leg of the quarter-finals played at JDT's home turf the Tan Sri Hassan Yunos Stadium in Larkin, Johor Bahru, Felda United carved out a 2-1 victory as opposed to the 1-1 draw in their home leg on Tuesday.

It was an ignonimous exit for the Southern Tigers as they had also won the Super League title this season and have not seen defeat on home ground since 2013.

In last night's action, Felda United's Liberian import, Zah Rahan Krangar was the hero for 'The Fighters' when he slammed home the winner in the 76th minute.

Earlier, Felda United had scored as early as the fourth minute when Thiago Augusto Fernandes converted a penalty but JDT's captain Safiq Rahim found the eqaliser in the 49th minute.

With the upset, Felda United join defending champions Pahang, Kedah and 32-time champions Selangor in the semis after the latter three teams also booked their place in the last four.

Pahang lost 0-2 to Lions XII at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore but the win was not enough for the city-state side to get through because their aggregate was 3-4. Pahang had won the first leg in Kuantan 4-1.

Lions XII's goals were netted by Christopher Van Huizen (11th minute) and Man-of-the Match Muhammad Faris Ramli (19th).

It was also Lions XII's last appearence in the M-League following the FA of Malaysia not extending the Memorandum of Understanding with the FA of Singapore signed in 2011 to allow the side to play in the league.

At the Stadium Shah Alam, Selangor played to a 1-1 against Sarawak but went through on a 3-2 aggregate. The Red Giants had edged The Crocs 2-1 in the first leg at Stadium Negeri, Kuching.

Ashri Chuchu had put the visitors ahead in the 22nd minute before Afiq Azmi pulled level for the hosts six minutes later.

At the Selayang Stadium, Premier League champions Kedah defeated PKNS FC 3-1 to advance to the semis on a 4-2 aggregate victory.

Their home leg match at the Darul Aman Stadium in Alor Setar had ended in a 1-1 draw.

Kedah's goals were netted by Chidi Edeh (29th), Sandro Da Silva (68th) and Muhd Syafiq Ahmad in added time of the second half.

Minutes before Muhd Syafiq scored there were ugly scenes on the pitch which forced referee Samsudin Ibrahim give PKNS FC defender P. Gunalan the matching orders for a rough tackle on Sandro in the 86th minute. The Brazilian import (Sandro) was also named Man-of-the Match.

In the semis which will also be played on a home and away format on Dec 2 an 6, Pahang will take on Selangor while Felda United have to contend with Kedah.
