Police today reminded fans from Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) and Pahang to avoid creating unnecessary trouble at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil when watching the Malaysia Cup final tomorrow.

Acting Deputy Inspector General of Police Datuk Seri Mohamad Fuzi Harun said police had taken the necessary steps to ensure maximum security at the stadium to avoid any untoward incidents during the final.

"We will be monitoring every activity, including those based on tip off or information about any suspicious matters that can threaten security aspects in the stadium," he told reporters when briefing security measures taken by police, here today.

Mohamad Fuzi said the number of policemen on duty was also enough to cater for the occasion, including the Federal Reserve Unit (FRU).

"We have issued specific instructions on security to both teams, like barring fans from bringing in weapons, fireworks or firecrackers," he said.
