A five-year-old boy who was kidnapped in Kajang early this morning, was found safe eight hours after.

The boy was found by a taxi driver who sent him back to his home in Kajang.

Kajang District Police Chief ACP Willey Anak Ricard in confirming this said the boy had now been sent to a hospital for a medical examination.

"The boy has been found and was sent home by a taxi driver at 5.47pm.

"Investigations are being conducted to trace the suspects involved in the kidnapping," he told Bernama.

A 20-second video recording from a closed-circuit television which went viral on the social media showed the boy standing beside his mother while she was talking to a man at about 9am.

Soon after, another man came on the scene and the two men snatched the boy into a car.

The mother was then seen running after the two men but fell, and the car sped off.
