The police detained a man today, in connection with break-ins at 14 state government premises since the beginning of this year.

Kelantan acting police chief SAC Din Ahmad said the 39-year-old suspect was picked up at his home here about noon.

He said laptops, cell phones, compact disc players and a Perodua Axia car were among those seized in the raid.

"The suspect has previous criminal records, including two for drug-related cases and tested positive for drugs," he told a press conference at the state police contingent headquarters here today.

Din said initial investigations revealed the suspect targeted government premises around Pasir Mas, Bachok and Kota Bharu.
