Kedah has signed on Brazilian footballer Carlos Eduardo de Souza Floresta or Carlos Kahe for one year to strengthen its team for the Malaysian League 2016.

Kedah FA manager Datuk Jeffrey Low Han Chow said Carlos Kahe, 34, was singled out by the association for his performance at Bundesliga, Germany during his two-year stint with Boarussia Monchengladbach and seven years at a number of clubs in the Turkey League.

"Carlos had also teamed up with Sandro Da Silva for a club in Brazil. This is an advantage in teamwork," he said at Sultan Abdul Halim Airport last night to receive Carlos Kahe.

Meanwhile, the striker who was also welcomed at the airport by about 100 football fans, said he was pleased and excited to play in the team and vowed to perform his best.

Carlos Kahe scored 73 goals during his seven years in the Turkey League and became familiar with Kedah through his countryman Sandro who had played for the team.
