Karpal's funeral procession to stop at four significant locations

KUALA LUMPUR: The procession carrying the body of the late Karpal Singh will be held on Sunday, with stops at four significant locations.

The four places are the Penang High Court, Karpal’s office in Green Hall, the Penang State Assembly building and St. Xavier's Institution (SXI). The car carrying Karpal’s coffin will move from his home at Jalan Utama about 8:15 am heading to Sri Pinang hall where his body will be given the state honour.

The procession will pass through Jalan Utama, Jalan Macalister, Peel Highway, Jalan Perak, Jalan Burma, Jalan Pangkor, Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah, Farquhar Highway and Light Highway on the way to Sri Pinang hall. The car carrying the coffin will then head to the crematorium in Batu Gantong.

People can pay their respects to the late Karpal Singh at Sri Pinang hall from 9am to 10:30 am.
Starting at 10:30 am, the last respects will be dedicated to the guest of honour and immediate family.

Those who wish to pay their last respects must be dressed neatly in either black or white.
