The founder of Alibaba Group and Malaysian government digital economic advisor, Jack Ma today stressed that globalisation should be mobilised by the people for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as young people to reap the benefits.

The e-commerce maverick said gone are the days when only big corporations are the only one benefiting from globalisation.

Malaysian SMEs and youths should enjoy the most benefits from the setting up of the Digital Free Trade Zone in Bandar Malaysia.

This collaboration with Alibaba is aimed at enhancing Malaysia's digital economy is slated to provide the nation with the best technology to move forward.

The Electronic World Trade Platform should be seen as the private sector's effort to continue what the WTO Doha Round has failed to achieve.

The philanthropist was speaking at the Transformational Masterclass at the the Global Transformation Forum 2017 here today.
