Datuk Seri Idris Jala has been appointed as Independent assessor to establish the facts of the case and recommend the way forward regarding the decision by the Felda Global Ventures Holdings (FGVH) to suspend its Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and two other senior members of the management team.

The government has arrived at the decision after consulting with all relevant parties, said a statement from the Prime Minister Office here today.

The relevant parties consulted were FELDA chairman, Tan Sri Shahrir Abdul Samad, the single biggest shareholder of FGV, chairman of FGV, Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad, FGV chief executive officer, Datuk Zakaria Arshad and FGV chief financial officer, Ahmad Tifli Mohd Talha.

Yesterday, FGV has suspended Zakaia and Ahmad Tilfi pending internal audit probe into purported irregularities in payments by a subsidiary company.

Deputy Chief Commissioner ( Malaysian Anti--Corruption Commission (MACC) deputy chief commissioner yesterday said the commission had received a few information of the issue in FGV.

Zakaria appeared at the MACC headquarters to give his statements.
