Former PAS vice-president Datuk Husam Musa will be referred to the party's Disciplinary Committee following the complaints lodged against him.

The decision was reached in the PAS's Central Working Committee meeting on Saturday.

PAS deputy president Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said the committee members deliberated on the complaints against Husam before coming up with a decision.

"We are of the view that Husam's actions were considered to be detrimental to the party under the party's constitution," said Tuan Ibrahim.

He added that the relevant proceedings will be handled entirely by the Disciplinary Committee, chaired by Dr Daeng Sanusi Daeng Mariok.

"The meeting also urged the committee to act swiftly and come up with a decision. This is important to avoid the continuous accusations and safeguard the interests of the party," said Tuan Ibrahim during a press conference at the PAS headquarters here.

Husam is facing disciplinary actions as a result of continuous statements deemed to be critical of the Islamic party.
