The Health Ministry workforce have been urged to improve their quality of service to the people.

Health deputy minister Datuk Seri Dr Hilmi Yahaya said it was incumbent on them as civil servants to be prompt, precise and of integrity in their service delivery, "which must necessarily be bolstered by productivity, creativity and innovation".

He said the ministry provided facilities and opportunities to those with the qualification to enhance their skills.

"Hence why, in order to meet the service demand particularly in Sabah and Sarawak, we have increased the intake for trainees such as nurses and medical assistants," he said at the ministry's training institute convocation for the Sabah and Sarawak zone at Universiti Malaysia Sabah's chancellery hall in Kota Kinabalu, Monday.

He reminded graduates to be committed in improving their quality, based on the ministry's three core values, Professionalism, Caring Attitude and Teamwork.
