Popular Malaysian comedian and TV host Harith Iskander has made his way into the grand finals of The Funniest Person in the World (TFPW) competition.

Harith beat 15 other comedians in the semi-finals to make it to the top five list.

Harith will face Alex Calleja (Philippines), Katerina Vrana (Greece), David Kilimnick (Israel) and Mino Van Nassau (India) in the final showdown which will take place in Helsinki, Finland on Friday.

Organised by the renowned American comedy club Laugh Factory, the winner will walk away with USD100,000 (RM444,845) while the two runners-up will receive bag USD10,000 (RM44,484) and USD5,000 USD(RM22,242), respectively.

An exhilarated Harith, who is also the host of Obviously Harith Iskandar, the popular night talk show produced and aired by Astro AWANI (Channel 501) extended his gratitude via a video post on Instagram with the caption that reads:
