Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) chairman, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad today rebuked Sekijang Member of Parliament, Anuar Manap over the freehold title of the Forest City development project.

The veteran politician stressed that everyone knew that the freehold title was not for strata titles for the land in Forest City.

“Everyone knew it's a freehold land. If he doesn’t understand (Bahasa Melayu), then he must go back to school,” said Dr Mahathir at a press conference at PPBM headquarters in Petaling Jaya on Tuesday.

On Saturday, Anuar refuted Dr Mahathir’s claim that the state was giving away freehold land in the Forest City development project.

Forest City, a mixed development project in the Iskandar special economic zone, is expected to contribute some RM66 billion in tax revenue to Malaysia over the next 20 years.
