A full investigation report on the death of a Form Three student from SMK Putrajaya Presint 9 (2) here who fell from the school building yesterday will be known this week.

Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid said even though the ministry was still awaiting the investigation report from the police, initial reports found no foul play involved.

"They (students) were just joking among themselves. In the initial report there is no intention to cause the untoward incident. We are still waiting for the police report," he told reporters after launching the English Language Roadmap 2015-2025 here today.

In the 9.40am incident yesterday, Azim Hakimi Abu Shuja, 15, died after he fell from the third storey of the school while trying to retrieve his friend's bag that was thrown out by other students.

Commenting on the case of the Form Two student who is in a coma after being bullied in Sungai Petani, Kedah, Mahdzir said the matter had been handed over completely to the police for now.

Yesterday, a 14-year-old boy suffered brain haemorrhage after he was beaten up by three senior students at a secondary school in Sungai Petani.

Muhammad Anas Amir was said to have been hit and slammed against a wall in a classroom but the incident was only discovered by his family after he went home and complained of headaches.

Mahdzir said the ministry had task forces represented by the ministry and state Education Ministry being led by a counsellor to address bully cases.
