The social media was abuzz with many expressing their concern stating that an increase in petrol and fuel prices announced by the government on Saturday will cause an increase in the prices of goods.

Many also questioned whether the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism will continue their campaign to call for the lower prices of goods.

The price of RON95, RON97 and diesel has increased by 25 sen.

With the increase, the price of both RON95 and diesel is now RM1.95 per litre while RON97 is priced at RM2.25 per litre.
