It was an exciting first-day-at-school for two pairs of twins who started Year One at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Convent here, Sunday.

Hani Qistina and Hani Qaisara Mohd Hazrizaidi, and Puteri Rania Syakira and Puteri Rania Syakirin Bukhari, 7, escorted by their parents, were full of enthusiasm as they entered their respective classrooms.

"I love school because I am with my sister and new friends. Both of us woke up early today and couldn't wait to go to school," Hani Qistina told reporters when met at the school.

Their lessons with new teachers and in an environment different from kindergarten.

SK Convent headmistress Norlilawati Mohamed said 72 pupils had registered to enter primary one this year, and two classrooms had been prepared for them.

Meanwhile, the state Education Department said in a statement that 30,290 children had registered for Year One 2015 at 544 primary schools in the state.
