Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S.Subramaniam Wednesday shared Malaysia's experience, insights and knowledge on the drivers of transformation in healthcare with the global community.

Dr Subramaniam in a statement said he addressed these while attending the World Economic Forum (WEF) 9th Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2015 (AMNC) in Dalian, China.

He said the WEF AMNC 2015 themed "Charting a New Course for Growth" which ends on Thursday is being attended by 1,500 participants from the business, government, research and media sectors from over 90 countries.

"Today I delivered an interesting topic called "The Transformation of Healthcare." I shared Malaysia's experience, insights and knowledge on the drivers of transformation.

"The session focused on what are the shifts and uncertainties that shape the future of healthcare in the world," he said.

Dr Subramaniam said he would be presenting and moderating a session titled "Building an Ecosystem of Partnerships to Catalsze Health Systems Leapfrogging" Thursday.

"I will be sharing my views on the ecosystem of public-private partnerships in supporting innovations. We will also discuss public health impact, financial sustainability as well as the challenges of collaborating with other stakeholders," he said.

In the afternoon, Dr Subramaniam is scheduled to participate in the "Health Summit at Dalian: Collaborating to Build Health-enabling Environments" as a panel member where he will share insights on the future of health projects, multi-stakeholder approach and lessons learned from addressing environmental challenges.
