The test on sample B belonging to a national athlete who had tanked doping test in an international tournament recently, will be done either on 4 or 5 November.

Youth and Sports Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin said that the athlete was given an option by the international sports association involved to choose between those two dates.

"I was informed that the international sports association involved had given the athlete to choose either 4 or 5 November to open sample B and have it tested," he told a press conference after attending the Malaysian Invasion Mixed Martial Arts season 2 (MIMMA2) Grand Finals at Stadium Negara, Saturday.

The 'mysterious' national sports icon who came under light after tested positive for doping remains to be a hot issue since Monday.

Almost all sports enthusiasts in the country were shell shocked upon hearing the news, particularly after it was reported that the sportsman had failed a doping test during a major sporting event in the middle of this year, after Sample A results were recently revealed.

However, Khairy said, the identity of the athlete will not be announced until the results of Sample B is revealed and tested positive.
