Constituents must not be tricked by the opposition's empty promises, advised Parti Bersatu Sabah acting president Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili.

He said, of late, these seasonal politicians had been seen making their rounds to villages with the intention to win the people's hearts.

Ongkili, who is also Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister, said the seasonal politicians were trying to sell their 'medicines' and confused the people by offering empty promises.

"The difference between us and them is that we are genuine in our missions. We make sure we deliver our promises for development and ensure funds are channeled to materialise the projects.

"Unlike the opposition who are just good at making promises. We question their sincerity," said Ongkili during a meet-the-people session at Kampung Sungoi Lama.

At the function, he also announced the approval of over RM100,000 allocation to upgrade roads, bridges, open halls and toilets here and two other villages - Kg Bukit Lalang and Kg Mangaris.

He said the projects were expected to be completed within the next 60 days.
