The British press has reported that David Moyes will be sacked as the manager of Manchester United after losing the support of the club's Glazer family owners.

According to the Telegraph, the team's 2-0 defeat to Everton was the last straw and his position could even be removed from him before Saturday's match against Norwich City.

SkySports reported that, when contacted, the club's representatives did not want to comment on the matter. ESPN, on the other hand, stated that the club did not deny the reports and that a senior official said Moyes' departure is "imminent".

The reports come just eleven months into Moyes' six-year contract as manager. He was handpicked by his predecessor Sir Alex Fergusan, who has been urging the club to give the new hand more time to settle in.

Several names are already being brandied about as Moyes' replacement, and they include Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp, Louis van Gaal, Diego Simeone and Ryan Giggs.
