DAP has slammed the actions by several non-governmental organisations (NGO) who had slaughtered two chickens and smeared its blood on a banner featuring photographs of four elected representatives in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday.

Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo in a statement on Friday said their actions should be condemned.

He had also called on the authorities to take stern action on the group for offering a RM1,200 reward who dares to slap Seputeh MP Teresa Kok together with photographic evidence of the act.

"This is clearly a most shameful, irresponsible and provocative threat openly made against elected representatives which cannot and must not be allowed to go unpunished.

"We demand that the police take stern action against these persons immediately. They have clearly committed acts criminal in nature and they must be dealt with accordingly," he said.

Gobing has also urged the Home Minister and IGP to get tough on such groups who openly advocate violence.

"Malaysia can ill afford to go down in history as a nation in which chaos and violence of this nature flourishes owing to weaknesses on part of its government and police to do the needful to uphold the law, maintain order and keep the peace," he added.

He said DAP will seek an urgent audience with the Home Minister and IGP over the matter as soon as possible.
