A total of 100 dancers from Dancesteps Studio, along with local dance groups, will share a stage for a good cause on Sunday.

They will dance for Dance4Charity performance at the Gardens Theatre in Mid Valley City.

The performance, organised by Dancesteps Studio and Friends To Mankind, will feature dances ranging from lyrical ballet, musical ballet to street jazz, choreographed by two qualified instructors from the United States.

Dancesteps Studio director Shirena Hamzah said the event was just about stage performance, but more about children dancing for children.

"We have done a lot of charity projects and we believe in opening up the doors of possibilities not only for our dancers, but to those children out there who are less fortunate and need our help in getting them a better life," she told Bernama yesterday.

Proceeds from the charity performances will go to Fugee School in Malaysia and Make-A-Wish Malaysia.

Make-A-Wish Malaysia grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, while Fugee School assist refugee children living in Malaysia in their education and other needs.
