A converted girl who was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Langkawi General Hospital three days ago on suspicion of being abused by her foster family reportedly died last night at 8.40pm.

The death was confirmed by the Kedah CID Chief, ACP Mohd Nashir Ya.

Based on a report, the police found out that there were old and new bruises on the victim’s body strengthening the allegation of which she was abused to death by the foster parents.

According to a neighbour, the foster parents who are Indian Muslims are the main suspect and had been remanded by the police for seven days following investigation.

Nur Salina Abdullah, 18 has been living with her foster family since four years old and embraced Islam over the last year.
