National badminton single's players, Chong Wei Feng and Liew Daren have sailed into the third round of the 20th Commonwealth Games held at Emirates Arena on Wednesday.

Top seed, Wei Feng took only 30 minutes to dispose off Buwaneka Dullewa of Sri Lanka in straight sets, 21-13, 21-10 in a second round match.

Compatriot Liew Daren defeated Daniel Sam of Ghana 21-14 and 21-16 in 32 minutes.

Wei Feng is scheduled to meet Tony Stephenson of Ireland while Liew will meet Dinuka Karutnaratna of Sri Lanka in the third round tomorrow.

"I am still tired after meeting Rajiv Ouseph of England in the mixed team match on Monday. I hope to recover on time as the competition progresses," he told reporters.

On his status as the top seed, Wei Feng said the seeding would not affect his focus on improving as the contest gets closer to the final.
