Noraziah Nor, 29, wife of VAT 69 Commando Insp Zulkifli Mamat, 30, who was killed in a shoot out with the armed foreign intruders in Lahad Datu, fainted upon hearing the tragic news of her husband's death.
Zulkifli was one of the security forces personnel who died in the 10 am incident this morning, which also saw 12 of the intruders killed.
Noraziah, a school teacher in Tanjung Rambutan who is pregnant with their third child, had to be taken to a nearby clinic by several members of her family and neighbours.
She was met at Sargeant Hussain Harun's house Bandar Baru Putra, Bercham here.
Sargeant Hussain, 53, a General Operations Force trainer in Hulu Kinta is a father figure to the couple.
"I have known the late Zulkifli since 2004 when he joined the UUM Student Volunteer Police Corps, where I conducted map reading training," he said.
The couple lived in Bandar Baru Putra, Bercham and have two children, Mohammad Akmaluddin, 5, and Mohammad Akhil, 1.
