Popular cartoonist Datul Lat, who was reportedly being treated at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Pantai Hospital in Ipoh, Friday is reported to be in stable condition.

His brother, Mamat Khalid today said that he is well and has been advised by the doctors to rest at the hospital after a routine check-up yesterday.

According to Mamat, when news broke about his brother being warded at the ICU, news about his brother's alleged weak condition started to spread.

"I was shocked when I learnt about it. I rushed from Tanjung Malim, Perak to Ipoh to visit him. Thank God, was well and more chatty than usual too," said Mamat, who is also a popular screenwriter of Enfiniti Productions' epic film, Puteri Gunung Ledang.

Lat, whose full name is Mohammad Nor Khalid, was admitted to Pantai Hospital in Ipoh after a routine checkup on Friday.
